Bananas Don't Travel Well

This used to be known as the Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall, but it was recently renamed "Democracy Memorial" by the ruling Democratic Progressive Party. The goal was to remove the reference to CKS (and the KMT) and dedicate the hall to democracy instead. They apparently did not quite understand the meaning of the word "memorial."
